The Auxiliary
The Auxiliary was originally started many years ago by Nola Hines along with a dedicated group of ladies from the local community. Together, they established a strong and vibrant tradition of hosting various community events that brought people together. Nola, who was an incredibly devoted mother, had 13 children, many of whom, along with their spouses and children, actively contributed their time and effort at the hall. Remarkably, some of them continue to help today, even if they no longer reside in the community. In recent years, we have placed a strong emphasis on ensuring that this cherished tradition remains alive, offering numerous events designed specifically for families and children to enjoy.
Currently, the Auxiliary is run by Bonnie Hines and Vivian Kohout.Bonnie, who is genuinely proud to be Nola's daughter-in-law, has been a valued resident of this close-knit community for an impressive and noteworthy 45 years. Vivian Kohout has proudly lived in the vibrant community for more than 50 years before making her move to Elmsdale. Nevertheless, she remains an active and dedicated volunteer, continually supporting both the Community and the Auxiliary through her ongoing efforts and involvement. The Auxiliary is not a formal organization; rather, it thrives on the great support system provided by the community. Many people are always willing to lend a hand when needed, contributing to the success of various events. The Auxiliary would genuinely love to see some new faces get involved and are continuously on the lookout for enthusiastic helpers. Participating in these events is always enjoyable and offers a wonderful opportunity to meet new people or reconnect with old friends. Vivian and Bonnie look forward to welcoming you soon!
