History of the Community Hall
The Community Hall was given to the Grand Lake Soceity on September 5, 1964. Now known as the Grand Lake Oakfield Community Society. The hall has served many different purposes during it's lifetime. Everything from being a school house to, fire station, & community hall.
The Grand Lake Oakfield Area Rate helps fund the hall as well as playground and ball field. We are one of the only communities in HRM who manage our hall and ball field.
